Responsibilities

The Private Banker’s primary purpose is to be focused on driving new client acquisition and ensuring the objectives related to growth, core deposits, profitability, risk and service are met.   The Private Banker in new regional markets will be responsible for cultivating new, and servicing existing, Bank relationships resulting in efficient delivery of credit and other bank services – including introduction to cross sale partners.  Success in this role will be measured by the increase in new strategic relationships in the region within Private Wealth. 

 

Other responsibilities are as follows:

 

  • Responsible and accountable for new strategic relationship acquisition and resulting new business generation. Prioritize internal and external new business development efforts.
  • Execute strategies for profitable growth of deposits, loans, fees and Personal Asset Management as well as selling bank products and services.
  • Active development and communication of CRM (Client Relationship Management) strategy to drive prospecting and relationship growth for Personal Advisory Services. Participate in and oversee the execution of the CRM strategy including direct calling and networking.
  • Responsible for tracking of net loan & deposit growth, increase in banking fee revenue, Personal Asset Management & Fee Revenue and New Client acquisition.
  • Manage the pipeline to achieve Personal Advisory & Scorecard goals.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationship with internal departments (i.e. Executive Management, Commercial Banking, Asset Management and other cross-sell partners)
  • Provide insight to the Personal Advisory Services Business Manager for business unit reviews.
  • Market Manager will participate in Pre-screen and relationship strategy discussions with the Wealth Advisor, Credit Portfolio Manager, Investment Advisor and Private Banker. Interface with Credit Portfolio Manager to keep apprised of any issues that arise with the advancement of a credit request.
  • Uphold active market presence within the community and industry associations with the purpose of promoting CIB Bank USA and Personal Advisory Services while cultivating potential prospects and referral sources.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience developing and managing relationships with high net worth clients plus hands-on experience in applying deep credit expertise, working knowledge of investment portfolios and trust solutions.
  • Ability to foster and maintain private banking relationships with high level of competency.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment, introducing the appropriate partners and suite of investment, trust and banking solutions to high net worth individuals, families and institutions.
  • Ability to apply credit expertise, and identify risk, within a specific commercial banking industry or vertical.
  • Ability to complete necessary analysis and documentation to achieve credit actions related to Private Banker’s existing portfolio (e.g., structure, waivers, and modifications).
  • Formal credit training a plus.
  • College Degree / Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge financial analysis and modeling.
