Responsibilities

The ALM Risk Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the Bank' management of interest rate risk including modeling the Bank’s balance sheet to assess the impact of rate changes on the Bank’s assets and liabilities, a critical role for the Bank to achieve it's business strategy.

  • The ALM Risk Analyst will assist in completing the interest rate risk modeling for the Bank's balance sheet to determine the effects of various interest rate scenarios on net interest income and net present value and their corresponding sensitivities;
  • In addition the ALM Risk Analyst will also assist in preparing reporting materials for senior management;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting materials for the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO);
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting materials for the Business Risk Committee and Board of Directors;
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting materials to support management reporting, external regulatory filings and regulatory, compliance and risk management requirements;
  • Assist in developing ALM modeling assumptions and quantitative analysis;
  • Assist in supporting liquidity and funding analysis;
  • Assist in monitoring regulatory requirements related to interest rate risk management and liquidity;

Qualifications

  • College degree BS/BA with concentration in business, finance, accounting or equivalent training/experience;
  • Strong quantitative background and/or experience;
  • Familiarity with banking, asset liability management concepts and interest rate risk management is helpful;
  • Familiarity with financial analysis and modeling is helpful;
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, works independently and possesses a sense of urgency;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Powerpoint;
  • Familiarity with visual basic, MS Excel macros and Bloomberg is helpful;
