Responsibilities

The IT Architect will manage the complex architecture of both in-sourced and outsourced applications in an ever-changing, complex IT environment. IT Architect applies strategic analysis, critical thinking in developing architectures and technology roadmaps considering future state needs of the business. IT Architect will leverage our existing process maps and update them to include new and proposed components of the enterprise IT architecture.  The IT Architect will investigate and advise on new project requests as a part of the project portfolio process.  Designs and develops IT architecture (integrated process, applications, data and technology) solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. Performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.

Qualifications

 

Required Skills & Experience (minimum years of experience, education, supervisory experience, PC skills, etc.):

 

  • Requires 7-10 years of experience with enterprise architecture framework and reference models and establishing governance processes to manage change. 
  • Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
  • Thinks strategically and solves complex problems; brings new perspective to drive change and improve current state
  • Engages with business, operations and technology teams to drive results.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science. Advanced degree is preferred. Financial Services experience is preferred.
