    Under the oversight of Information Security management and direction from senior System Administrator, supports the Identity and Access Management system.   Applies industry knowledge of Identity Management and system access controls to the CIBC Bank USA environment. Must be able to weigh business needs against security risks, and articulate issues to management. Performs necessary procedures and controls to ensure appropriate system access controls are in place. Interfaces with the user community to understand their system access needs and implements procedures to accommodate them.  

    • Creates and maintains roles and privileges within the Identity Management System
    • Maintains system roles and privileges based on information such as job function, department, etc.
    • Creates and maintains accurate descriptions of roles and privileges within the Identity Management System
    • Partners with department managers and representatives to determine the appropriate levels of system access, based on job responsibilities
    • Partners with Information Technology and Human Resources department to support the Identity Management System
    • Develops and prepares metrics to represent the status of the Identity Management program
    • Leads Segregation of Duties discussions with system owners and support functions
    • Manages system controls including creation and review of system reporting, reconciling access to source systems, review of critical data elements, processing of terminations, transfers, and inactive users, etc.
    • Facilitates system access reviews and attestation processes
    • Writes desk procedures and implements, as needed
    • Fulfills audit requests, explains controls, and supports the testing of controls
    • Represents Identity and Access Management on enterprise-level projects
    • Supports end user questions and issues with Identity and Access Management


    • 3-5 years of working experience in managing an Identity Management System
    • Financial Services experience
    • Advanced level of Microsoft Excel skills and other Microsoft products
    • Strong understanding of risk-based approach and risk vs. reward analysis
    • Strong Information Technology background, with knowledge and understanding of IT environments and operational functions
    • Strong Information Security background
    • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other regulatory guidance
    • Interpersonal skills and collaboration skills are critical in working with all levels of employees and management
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills
    • Experience in driving change and delivering quantifiable results
    • Action oriented, quick learner, and strong work ethic
    • Proven ability to manage multiple high priority tasks simultaneously with the ability to prioritize
    • Takes ownership and ability to drive and measure continual improvement actions
    • Proactive leader and thinker, who is able to work independently under general direction
