Position Summary

CIBC Bank USA is looking to hire an experienced Business Analyst to help support a Commercial Lending program at the Bank.  This individual will have responsibility for creating business requirement documents and analyzing project needs. The business analyst will be responsible for reviewing business requirements produced by other parties (i.e. Stakeholders, Business User Groups, and Third Parties).  The business analyst will also have responsibility for developing test scripts, coordinating and tracking testing. The business analyst will work side by side with the Commercial Lending Program Manager, project managers and Stakeholders.


Duties include:

  • Performing complex research and analysis to support business operations and presenting findings to manager or project leader
  • Determine best practices and suggests how to improve current practices
  • Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations and communicates with other departments as necessary
  • May perform special projects upon request and oversee the work of junior Business Analysts
  • Proactively shares knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business units
  • Focuses on strategic initiatives and plans, proactive, anticipatory and driving in nature and provides significant value to business units
  • Facilitates the planning and execution of business changes through the use of technology



Required Skills:

-Microsoft Office Suite: including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, SharePoint, Project, and Visio 
-Individual must have strong written and oral communication skills. 
-Must be able to work well independently, as well as part of a team.

Desired Skills:

-CreditPath Experience
-Prefer someone with prior Commercial Banking experience.
-Prior Cognos  experience

This individual must have a college degree.  Prefer someone with 7-10 years of BA experience
