    This position is a salary-based inside mortgage loan originator.  The candidate will be expected to produce residential 2nd mortgage loans, either for purchase or refinance, in compliance with Bank and/or investor guidelines.  They will take direction from the Market Sales Manager with regard to new business generation activities, and will interface internally with referrals coming from Bank staff, Private Wealth, 1st mortgage loan originators and other internal business lines.


    The Call Center Home Equity Originator’s role is to assist prospective clients in obtaining 2nd lien mortgage financing for residential real estate, either for purchase or refinance. Certain sales activities and focus may require the referral of the potential client to a dedicated sales specialist (i.e. 1st lien mortgage opportunities, and construction loans). They must be able to execute on the following:

    • Understand secondary market underwriting and pricing guidelines, as well as Bank policy and procedure, and deliver profitable loans that meet these guidelines.
    • Develop 2nd lien loan production from internal sources, while making introductions of these clients back to the appropriate Bank partner.
    • Partner with internal staff, including commercial and consumer bankers, to support the cross-sell objectives of each group and deliver high quality service to the Bank’s clients and prospects.
    • Originate loans by taking applications on our LOS system, collecting appropriate documentation, submitting the loan request to underwriting, and assisting in closing the transaction.


    3-5 years of previous banking or mortgage experience is required
