Responsibilities

  1. Reconcile cash activity on AddVantage system against the Bank’s Trust Settlement DDA account, matching all transactions to ensure activity is accounted for correctly
  2. Process all daily cash movement requests (e.g., receipts, remittances, TBAs, wire transfers, ACH transactions, loan payments, etc.) by monitoring, updating and posting system registers
  3. Process daily ACH and CHT transaction files through the AddVantage system
  4. Print and post all check requests and deposit daily checks received into the Bank’s Trust Settlement DDA
  5. Act as the primary resource for daily money market sweep function by generating and posting sweep maps and processing sweep activity through the MFTC interface function while adhering to internal and fund imposed trading cutoff times to ensure all trades are accepted
  6. Perform end of day balancing function to ensure that all system activity has been accounted for and posted, that no error conditions are present and that the system is ready for Dateroll agenda processing.
  7. Provide support and back-up to other Trust Operations functions as needed or when staffing challenges arise (e.g., illness, vacation, etc.)
  8. Perform special projects from time to time as requested.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

 

The following skills are required to successfully perform this job:

  1. Strong PC software application skills, including Microsoft Office –Word and Excel, in particular.
  2. Good working knowledge of banking and financial services as well as a basic knowledge of trading.
  3. Knowledge of trust operations, including security processing and income collections
  4. Basic accounting skills; understanding of debits and credits.
  5. Strong organizational, time management, communication, mathematical and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented.
  6. Ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently without constant managerial oversight.
  7. This position primarily interacts with trust operations co-workers, trust assistants and other Wealth Management professionals.Experience (minimum years of experience, education, supervisory experience, etc.):

  1. Previous experience (2-4 years) with a financial services firm in a trust operations area.
  2. Experience in a processing environment with accountability for balancing and meeting deadlines.
  3. Basic accounting experience, gathered through previous operations or bookkeeping experience.

Working knowledge trust accounting systems a plus.
