The Commercial Real Estate Loan Syndications Associate will be responsible for supporting the middle market real estate leveraged lending business through the structuring and distribution of loans to institutional investors as a syndicate. The Associate will contribute meaningfully to the execution of the group’s strategic business plan through the marketing/closing of syndicated transactions in a manner which is consistent with, and supports the growth, profit, and asset quality objectives of CIBC. While, at the outset, the Associate will work under the direction of tenured team members, it is expected that the professional brings a skill set that allows for efficient transition to independent transaction management in an up-tempo environment.
Primary responsibilities include the following daily tasks:
Required skills include strong communication (written and oral), demonstrated analytical aptitude, problem solving capabilities and technical proficiency with standard industry platforms (SyndTrak experience preferred, Microsoft Office Suite required). Minimum 4-6 years of direct commercial real estate finance experience and college degree are required. Syndications experience is preferred but not required.
