The individual will be responsible for providing co-fiduciary investment advisory services to corporate retirement plan clients. This includes recommendation of investments in ERISA qualified plans, quarterly performance monitoring of investments, regular client committee meetings to review performance, developing investment policy statements, recommendation of fund changes, benchmarking of fees, employee education and overall plan consulting. The individual will be responsible for meeting with commercial bankers to identify new opportunities to bring in business. In conjunction with the commercial banking teams, meet with teams at least twice each year to update them on strategies and opportunities to attract their clients' retirement plans to CIBC. The position will be responsible for sourcing opportunities, respond to proposal requests, present at meetings (both internal and external) and grow assets under management. Weekly, the individual will update the CRM system to record prospect and client meetings/phone calls.
The desired individual will have a strong background working with ERISA qualified retirement plans with preferably at least 10 years specializing in the field. The individual must hold FINRA series 6,7, 63, 65 registrations in good standing and hold an Illinois license to sell insurance annuity products. Strong written and verbal communication skills are must. The individual has proven a willingness to work with colleagues to build strong client relationships. Teamwork is critical for this individual's success.
