    Responsibilities

     

    In this role, you will join an infrastructure team that is responsible for the Corporate LAN / WAN, Network Security, Telecom Systems, Audio-Visual Systems, ATM’s, and Managed Print. The primary focus of this role will be Network Security and SIEM focused. (Security Information & Event Management) 

     

    You will have the opportunity to promote change with process and security practices.  Challenging the managed service providers to reduce or eliminate risk and maintaining a strong security posture is expected.  Assisting the network team on projects and day-to-day change and incident requests will be required. This role will require a large amount of documenting, report generation, and audit response creation. Knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and / or ForeScout CounterACT is a plus!

    • Cyber Security focused with a solid understanding of information security principals
    • Broad knowledge of networking and corporate network security solutions and management
    • Responsible for systems upgrades, enhancements and patches across multiple security domains 
    • Works with the business and vendors to understand the requirements and product changes
    • Lead and/or participate in testing and implementing changes into the environment
    • Level 2/3 support via ticket escalations
    • End to end management of assigned projects
    • Documentation of policies, procedures, and technical knowledge base articles

    Qualifications

     

    • At least 5 years of experience in a network security administration role
    • Experience with system patching tools
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and trouble-shooting skills
    • Familiar with change management and ticketing systems
    • Experience working with ticketing systems
    • Understanding of VoIP, IP networking, and associated protocols
    • Understanding of Wi-Fi supplicant, guest portals, and access controls

     

    The person in this role may have or plan on obtaining some of the following certifications:  WCNA, Security+, CEH, ACE, PCNSE, FSCA or better, CCNA or better
