    This position is responsible for acting as a junior relationship manager sourcing, evaluating, closing and managing a portfolio of investments for the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Investment Portfolio. Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing CRA investment presentations for Committee approval, community development investment analysis, monitoring the investment portfolio, identifying new investment opportunities, representing the Company at community development functions. The portfolio consists of investments in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs), Small Business Investment Companies (SBICs), Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and other community development investments.


    This position is responsible for sourcing new investments and managing existing investments in a portfolio to contribute to an annual objective of $30-60 million of new investments. These transactions are highly visible within the bank and have substantial external impact in raising the bank’s profile in the communities it serves. The incumbent will daily interact with several levels of staff, will regularly make presentations and respond to inquiries from executive management, and will coordinate with analysts, closers and attorneys to achieve the assigned objectives.


    • Bachelors Degree required, Master's preferred in Finance, Real Estate, Urban Planning or related field
    • 2-3 year's experience in real estate finance or commercial banking with underwriting and financial analysis experience
    • Formal credit training a plus
    • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
    • Experience with IBS/ACBS helpful
    • Strong critical thinking ability; detail orientated
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications
    • Knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act and Community Development Finance preferred
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Strong commitment to community development and relationship building
