    The Credit Analyst’s primary purpose is managing lending pipeline within the region. This person will work closely with the Market Manager and Credit and Services teams to evaluate and execute opportunities in an efficient and effective manner. The Credit Analyst collaborates with the Market Manager to meet the credit and relationship needs of clients. Analyst will also seek greater penetration of existing relationships through active cross sale of credit and non-credit bank products with the ultimate goal of profitable growth of strategic client relationships.


    The Credit Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following activities:

    • Gather and analyze all financial and business information to determine credit worthiness for loans, including preparation of required spreadsheets
    • Prepare a written presentation of borrower' financial condition and future outlook, as well as identify strengths and risks associated with our relationship sponsors and guarantors
    • Obtain and follow up on all required documents
    • Help maintain and develop client relationships, exploring opportunities to provide additional credit and non-credit services. Seek to become trusted advisor through regular client contact and relationship building
    • Serve as Client’s internal resource as it relates to relationship and credit needs
    • Identify product/service opportunities for other business units and participates in development of creative solutions to client needs, coordinate presentations, and bring in partners when appropriate
    • Interact with other team members (Group Portfolio Manager, Syndications, Capital Markets, Credit, etc.) to achieve approval and execution for new business and modifications to existing business
    • Present deals at Loan Committee and any prescreen meetings
    • Coordinate meetings with the client, including any site visits
    • Actively assist in the closing of loans and other financial services
    • Collaborate with Market Leader as part of a team to ensure delivery of top-notch client service
    • Assist with necessary analysis and documentation to achieve credit actions related to RM’s existing portfolio (e.g., waivers, and modifications)
    • Actively attend industry events to maintain current market knowledge and client relationships
    • Mentor new Credit Analysts, and other employees as needed


    • 5 or more years in banking or related field including at least 3 years experience in areas including underwriting, structuring, loan closing, documentation, and portfolio management
    • Ability to produce prescreen memos and loan presentations independently
    • Completion of formal Credit Training
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics preferred
    • Ability to foster and maintain commercial relationships with high level of competency
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with advanced knowledge financial analysis and modeling
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including grammar and demeanor, required
