    Responsibilities

    • Become proficient in all aspects of underwriting and monitoring specialty finance operations
    • Develop working knowledge of CIBC Bank USA's credit policy and risk rating framework
    • Assist in the performance of field exam projects
    • Assist in the creation of field exam project scopes
    • Continually work to increase market and professional knowledge through training classes, attendance at seminars and conferences, and participation in field examination projects
    • Coordinate field examination projects with outside third-party field exam services providers
    • Assist management in the review of field exam reports process and summarize critical findings and conclusions
    • Assist management in maintaining a list of approved outside field examination services providers
    • Assist in maintaining customer performance trend cards
    • Maintain a schedule of field exam projects that will need to be completed going forward
    • Assist relationship managers in evaluating potential new borrowing relationships
    • Assist relationship managers in evaluating potential new arrangements on an existing borrowing relationship
    • Assist in the process of updating specialty lending unit underwriting policies on an as needed basis
    • Complete other tasks and special projects, as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Access)
    • Understanding of accounting and banking principles
    • Previous field examination experience
    • High level of attention to detail and time management skills
    • Ability to work both independently as well as within a team environment
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
