    Responsibilities

    Position Description:

    This investment analyst will work in the Investment Group in the Treasury Department and will report to the Investment Officer. The hire will assist investment portfolio management primarily with investment securities and portfolio analyses, trading activities, investment portfolio risk report as well as other treasury activities as needed.

    Responsibilities

    • Role is reporting to Investment officer in the Corporate Treasury Investment Portfolio Group. The investment portfolio analyst will assist to manage Bank’s investment portfolio.
    • Work closely with Middle office on trading settlement, investment portfolio accounting, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist and perform pre-purchase and relative value investment analysis
    • Providing assist in running investment risk reports and assessing new products and investment strategies, ALCO policy limit monitoring and reports, and early warning indicators on Investment Portfolio, as well as other requests from Risk Management, Audit, and Regulatory Affairs.

    Qualifications

    • Understanding of fixed income instruments, and portfolio and risk management.
    • Understanding of the agency mortgage as well as understanding risk factors of mortgage cash flows and valuations
    • Knowledge of fixed income markets, and fixed income risk analytics, and familiarity with regulatory guidance for investment securities
    • 3-7 years of trading/portfolio management of Treasury bill, note, and bond, Agency MBS and Agency Debentures, and Agency CMBS with direct working experience or assisting in managing investment portfolio preferably for a Bank
    • Knowledge of repo transaction and operation
    • Knowledge of other treasury function, funding, liquidity, hedging and ALM
    • Excellent verbal and written skills, including the ability to prepare and produce presentations for senior managements, ALCO and other board level committees in a timely manner
    • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
    • Working knowledge of Yield book, Bloomberg, and Investment accounting system or other industry well known fixed income analytical tools and applications.
    • Proficient with excel and power point applications
    • Ability to work with treasury team members and other colleagues in finance and risk departments, collaborating tasks,
    • Ability to prioritize to deliver in timely matter in a high pressure environment
    • Plus to have experience with Access or database query
    • Plus to have experience in hedging or ALM analytics
    • Detail oriented, self-motivated, independent worker with problem solving skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Finance, or Economic
    • Advanced degree or CFA/FRM or progress toward preferred
